Chris Siriani, Partner/Chief Operations Officer/CCO
Chris Siriani oversees the operational management of the firm including investment operations, technology and finance. He also serves as the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer responsible for the establishment and enforcement of the firm’s compliance program, ensuring adherence to client guidelines and regulatory requirements. Previously, Chris was Director of Operations/Chief Compliance Officer of Freeman Investment Management Co, LLC (which merged with Investment Science Corporation) where he spearheaded compliance, operations, finance, facilities and HR functions. From 1998 to 2006, Chris was Director of Operations at Nicholas-Applegate where he led a 20-member staff across performance measurement, data administration and mutual fund operations for the firm. He established operational performance metrics to mitigate risk and improve processes. He also served on the firm's GIPS Pricing and Proxy Voting committees. Prior to joining Nicholas-Applegate, Chris was a Senior Fund Accountant at Invesco AIM and Senior Mutual Fund Accountant at State Street Bank & Trust. Prior to entering the investment industry, he was an operations manager for two years at Hertz Rent A Car. Chris earned his BA in Economics from Boston College. He has over 20 years investment industry experience and a member of the CFA Society of San Diego.
Jennifer Roper, Partner/Chief Administrative Officer
Jennifer Roper directs the financial management of the firm and chairs the Compliance Committee. Prior to joining Nicholas Investment Partners, she was a principal of Executive Financial Management Services, LLC, where she consulted with small businesses on strategic planning/budgeting, capital raising, vendor selection and policy formation. Previously she was Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of San Diego Private Bank from 2005 to 2010. She played a key role in organizing, opening and operating this start-up boutique bank. Her responsibilities included finance and accounting, regulatory reporting, strategic planning and budgeting and overseeing the operation and information systems. She held similar positions at two other bank start ups, Legacy Bank and Bank of the Internet. She was also CFO/Chief Operating Officer of Silvergate Bank/Silvergate Capital Corporation for 4 years. Jennifer started her career at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 1990 as a Bank Examiner with responsibilities for evaluating regulatory compliance, earnings, capital, liquidity, management and strategic plans of banks throughout the Western United States. For 7 years she conducted in-depth reviews of loans and securities portfolios and supervised examination teams. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of San Diego with a BS in Business Administration/Finance. She has 21 years of business management experience.
Loretta LoMonaco, Asst. Compliance Officer Accounting Manager
Loretta LoMonaco is responsible for assisting Chris Siriani in compliance related activities. She also assists in preparing corporate financial statements for Nicholas Investment Partners. Loretta has worked with the Nicholas’ for 20 years in various accounting roles. Prior to joining Nicholas Investment Partners, she served for fifteen years as Assistant Vice President in the Finance Department at Nicholas-Applegate.
Rommel Diawatan, Controller
Rommel is responsible for accounting functions that include investment accounting and billing. Rommel has worked with the Nicholas’s for over twenty years in various accounting roles. Prior to joining Nicholas Investment Partners, he served for fifteen years as Vice President-Finance at Nicholas-Applegate. Rommel is licensed as a CPA in the Philippines and holds a B.A. in Accounting from Laguna College, the Philippines.
